Ok, so here's the official word on the current state of the Pistol Whippers.  There have been many rumors floating around about us breaking up, getting new members, alien abductions and other far fetched stuff that one would expect to read in the World Weekly News. We would now like to assure everyone that we have not, and do not plan on breaking up the band., we have just had to make a few changes in our lineup. Dirt Reynolds will be taking over lead vocals along with his usual guitar duties due to us losing our lead singer Guy Parker. Guy has decided to leave us and will be missed. We have all grown up together and it is hard to lose someone that we have known for what seems like forever. We first decided to just give up and disband after his departure from the Whippers, but after long consideration, we feel that we have been at this rock n' roll thing for too damn long to just quit, as it has become a big part of our lives. We couldn't just let ourselves and our fans down by quitting. We have also decided to add on six- string samurai Chick Donovan (Brian Gunnoe of Noizbox) as a second guitar player, since Dirt will be singing. He was our original drummer for several years and co-wrote quite a few of our songs, and who else better to rejoin the band at this crucial stage than one of our closest friends. We have had several rehearsals since the new changes and we are very excited with how it is coming together. We currently getting most of the old tunes back up to speed and are looking forward to rockin' out some new material. We hope everyone will stand by us during this new era, and we promise to continue to deliver to you the rock that you deserve. We are planning on debuting the new Pistol Whippers in late March at the Empty Glass in our hometown of Charleston, WV, and are in the process of booking several east coast gigs all through the new year. We would like to send out all our love to our fans and hope to rock your fucking socks off real soon.

11/05

It has been a wild couple of months.  We would like to thank everyone who has been coming out to the last few shows and rockin' out with us .  We have been having a blast and here is a recap of recent stuff that we have been doing.

We finally got to play in the great city of D.C. with our brothers the Screws and the Revelevens. Thanks to Mookie for showing us a great time and hookin' us up with Ben from Dreamsound Studios in Manassas.  We recorded a couple of new tunes with him there in the wee hours of the morning after the show at the Asylum. These songs will be on a soon to be released 7 inch along with the Screws and the Unabombers from VA.  More info on this to be coming soon.  We then made our way down to Blacksburg, Va to play for our man Dolinger  at Attitudes.  We had a great time and thanks to all the bands that played that night for lettin' us borrow some equipment.  We had a great time there and got to attend a Heavy Metal Breakfast afterward, that will always be remembered. Thanks to our hosts for puttin' us up for the night and for the great food prepared by our pal Richard who got a new haircut and no longer looks like a dirty hippie:).

The Halloween Hootenanny went off with out a hitch, everyone got wasted as usual and we would like to thank everyone who came out in full force to help us celebrate the best holiday of the year.  There are gonna be alot of new pics from that show up as soon as we can find a better way to display them since there are an assload of them to show.  Thanks to every one who showed up in costume, there were some really creative ones and everyone was a winner to us.

A couple of weeks ago we had the pleasure of rockin' the Glass with our old pals the Lords of the Highway and our new comrades Sasquatch and the Sickabillies.  We would definitely like to thanks those folks for helping us rock the town, and you will be seein' them back again very soon in our favorite ol' waterin' hole.

This past weekend found us finally playing that wonderful place known as Pittsburgh, Pa.  We were really looking forward to this show and we were not disappointed.  Thanks to the staff at 31st Street Pub, to Radio Active for gettin the crowd rollin' and to the Cheats for showing us such a good time at the show and at the spectacular afterparty.  Todd has one of the coolest places that we have ever stayed in and we hope to get to hang out with those guys again soon.

We have a couple of  shows coming up at the Blue Parrot in Charleston, WV that will not want to be missed.  December 10th with the Deviltones and a New Years Eve Bash that will feature some very special new material that we have been secretly working on.

We would like to morn the passing of our rhythm geetar player Bruiser Highman.  He will no longer be playing with us and will be soon moving to the Chicago area to pursue love and happiness.  We wish him the best,  hope everything works out for him, and send him on with much love and other sappy shit like that.

We will be adding some new shows soon for the first part of the new year after a quick break to retool and hope that we can make it to your parts of the world soon.  We are very grateful to everyone that has been supporting us in our quest to rock tha fuck out of the nation and will continue to do our best to bring you the rock that you deserve.

9/13/05

Howdy, its been a while since the last update cause we've been busy workin' on new material to add to our new CD hopefully due out sometime late winter.  We rocked a couple of killer shows at the Blue Parrot and would like to thank everyone for coming out and partying with us. We have added a couple of show to our list, October 6th @ the Asylum in Washington D.C. and October 8th for the Gray vs. Blue @ the Hook in Brooklyn, NY.  This will be our third year playing this event and we are looking forward to getting wasted with all our friends in the NYC area. We should have some stickers and  new T-shirts within the next few weeks, so save your pennies and to some band shit, cause we need tha travelin' money.  To update the website a little bit we will soon be adding some live video shot by our pals at Razor Sharp Productions, and a poll that lets the fans pick our set list for the 6th Annual Halloween Hootenanny @ the Empty Glass in Charleston, WV on  Saturday 10/29 cause 10/31 is on a Monday and that sucks cause even withches and warlocks have day jobs.

8/13/05

Thanks to everyone who came out to the Empty Glass show, we all had a blast. We hope to play there more often than we have lately due to popular demand.  Thanks to the Whiskey Daredevils for rockin' everyone out, and to everyone who came to the afterparty which we are still trying to recover from. We are planning on playing at the Blue Parrot on August 26th and again on Sept. 3rd during the Charleston Sternwheel Regatta.  We will be taking a short break from playing out for a few weeks to work up some new material, hopefully record a brand new CD, and get ready to rock out on a Fall tour including dates in NYC, Washington, DC, and all the other places that need to get whipped. .  So don't miss these two upcoming shows.

07/18/05

A lot has happened since the last update. A couple of shows got canceled by the management of a couple of clubs for some damn reason or other, but we hope to return to those venues soon.  Over the 4th of July we had the best time ever at the Heavy Rebel Weekender.  Damn, that was one helluva great time. We first played the pre-party at the Garage in Winston-Salem with the Tremors and the Fury Heat. Everyone rocked the hell out and we all had a blast.  Thanks to everyone involved.  We then had a couple days off to enjoy the assload of killer bands that played at the Millennium Center.  There were so many wonderful acts that played that weekend, and if I mentioned them all my fingers would probably bleed. Thanks to everyone who came to see us in the Underground.  We had the most fun ever rocking out for all you beautiful folks.  Special thanks go out to Mike Martin, Dave Quick, Dolenger, and all them chicks who showed their titties during the wet T-Shirt contest and at random times during the weekend.  The weekend after the HRW we went up to Columbus, OH to play with Blatant Finger at Club 202.  It is a really nice place with PBR drink specials and a really cool staff, so if you are in Columbus you should definitely check this place out.  Thanks to the drummer for setting the show up and we hope to play with these guys again soon.  Thanks to everyone that came out to the Blue Parrot last Saturday, we had a great time and will definitely be playing there often.  Unfortunately we had to cancel the Canadian tour due to the fact that it is evidently a pain in the ass and the wallet for good White Trash American boys to go and play in Canada, but we hope to maybe do that again sometime in the future. Thanks to our Greaser Canadian pal for giving us good advice on that matter.

Update : 04/07/05

Well, it's been awhile since the last update cause we have been having problems with the server or something like that.

Bruiser Highman, the new additional guitar player, has denounced his virginity and is now officially in the band.  He has brought a lot of new riffs along with him and we are very excited about the new songs.  We are working on new material and hope to record it, along with some new versions of previously recorded tunes, for a new album this spring.

We are currently in the process of signing a guitar endorsement deal with Halo Guitars of Cupertino, CA. They have some wicked looking axes that we are looking forward to putting to good use on the road.

The Management is currently setting up some more East Coast tour dates for this Spring and Summer, and hopefully a few further out west will be in the works also.  Stay tuned for more info.
